Subject: A Height/ Scale/ Size Question

There are several ways to approach this. I generally go for the easiest ;-) The easiest, fastest way is to simply use the Scale parameter on the body - but this will only create a smaller/larger person of the same proportions. If you look at real people of different heights and sizes you will see that they are not just smaller or larger versions of the same thing. Some have long legs and short torsos - others may have the reverse or some combination. The key is that height is generally governed by torso (chest+abdomen), leg and to a small degree neck lengths. Adjusting the yScale parameter for these body parts will make very convincing short or tall people. For the best results, scale the BODY by a small amount first (1% to 3%) and then adjust the leg/torso/neck lengths to achieve the final result. Be sure to save your figure to the Figure Library. You could also save just the scale information in a "Sacle Pose" file. You will find many good tutorials around here for creating scale poses. note: after you adjust body part lengths, you may have to do a [control]+D to drop your figure to the floor.
