Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 29 1:45 am)
A PZ3 file is only part of the story when it comes to a poser project. It holds the posing, lights setup information on the scene, but doesn't contain the actual object, or the textures. So you need to backup your characters object file (in Geometries), Cr2 file, textures, etc. Also if you saved any poses, Lights, etc, in the various Libraries/subfolder need to be archived. Morphs are generally stored in the Cr2, but it's best to keep a copy of the original object file. You should also keep any orginal work from your modeler (3ds or whatever) in case you need to re-work them. I pretty such archive everyting associated with a Poser project, on the theory that you never know when you'll need it again. With Poser, you really do need a CDR or other large backup device.

If i want to archive/compress a pz3 file, should i save the various morph targets, textures, obj's & 3ds parts i used? can i then open the file in a different computer?
