I was playing and tinkering and tweeking, grinding my teeth, cussing a fit, tinkering, tweeking then something wierd happend I noticed one of my renderings was looking oh my goodness jumping pussy cats! the trick and I had to figure this out by dtopping a minmute to think how I did it, was reduce color saturation by at least 60 percent in the texture and I used a very interesting complex lighting preset by adding lots of shadow lights a grey light and mustard light into the scene and got this awsome rendering without any skin bump, all he has is a vascilar bump, hmmmmm. Now if I can only get this darn leather to to look like leather.

To reduce the percentage of the color will indeed create a kinda translucidity...addind the bumps is even more real and shows better skin texture when the color is a little fade-out. !!It looks indeed more real...and you can as well do this in poser 4 or 5. Nice job! I like your work! Nef

You just can't put the words "Poserites" and "happy" in the same sentence - didn't you know that? LaurieA

Nef can you load both a vascular map and a body texture map in poser 5 and layer the 2 bumps to interact with wach other in a rendering all on the same figure at the same time? By the way thanks Nef, Ill be sure to visit your gallery.

I got one more question, can I set collsions for the poser figure so that when I conform clothes they fit and don't pass through the Mike figure no matter what his full body morphs, how does this stuff with the collsion and wrinkle room work?

You can use a Blender node to combine two bump maps.

Or you could plug one map into the bump channel, and the other into displacement.

forget me if i am wrong, but given the screenshot you put of the interface, i suppose your trick needs poser 5 to work, ney ? I mean you seems to use options that you apply directly from poser, yet those kind of settings on textures are alien to me (poser 4 nopropack) btw it is interesting, as it still give an idea to follow, simply by preprocessing a texture with a paint software, then using it in old poser (along with lightings) and see what it does...

check out the shadows on the arms of the nude guy, It kinda really does add a interesting effect to the skin giving it more depth.

Collisions work oddly. Just like that sentence came out. Egads. Anyway, apparently collisions can stop a figure from going through himself, but for other objects, it just shows when you have a collision (if you have show collisions checked).
