It was me that made a comment about a possible raise in the hits rate of an image if it is ranked as nudity/violence. A reason for it not increasing your number of views (as expected?) is because it's much less obvious that people would try to find nudity/violence in a fractal gallery, which has much more abstract images than anything. They can get that easily in the Bryce galleries. Also, if an image of a typical fractal is posted with its thumbnail displaying the whole image and it is tagged as nude/violent, just those that view images based on searching results (not many people do that I suppose) and have this option included in their searches will deliberatedly see the images, but the "trick" is promptly discovered and that user can be excluded from further searches - it can work, but just once. An additional "trick" would be to add a thumbnail of a detail of the whole image, so the user won't have an idea if the image really contains violence/nudity or not (and is clueless about the image at all sometimes), and may be tempted to click it. As I usually used to click on images based mostly on their thumbnail appearances, and as I was many times fooled by thumbnails that don't show delicate textures or details of great images, I've stopped doing that, and I try (when I have the time to browse the category) to click as many images as possible, except when it's quite obvious that the big image can't be much different from the thumbnail. I was surprised many times by some very good texture works that was gone in the thumbnail, and made the image look "common". Adding the violence/nudity tag is not a rule of thumb to make your hits raise, obviously. I would try to concentrate more on doing "better images" (I'm not saying that yours aren't) than actually "cheating" like that, taking the care of not doing things because they are "the latest trend" (this was also discussed in that thread), but doing what you want to do and doing what you can do the best, imposing yourself because of the quality of your style, not because of cheats. If it has 100000 hits, great. If it has 1 (yours), no problem, not always it means that it is a "bad image".
