Hi Lory, I do a lot of photography anything from landscapes and nature to macro (closeup) and also my own textures..and I would highly recommend the Fuji FinePix 2800Zoom...it has a 6x zoom on it and for under 500 dollars it would be hard to beat the quality of the pictures this camera is capable of. It also has a nice 1.8" LCD monitor and is easy to learn. I am very happy with my camera, the quality of work it does amazes me.
