I'd suggests a little more irregularity in the hair - the beard is wonderful, but the hair looks inhumanly straight. I don't think any combination of hairspray or mousse would hold hair in such rigid lines. ;) A little more color-matching of hair and beard might help, too - a few white hairs would certainly add to the war-weary appearance. Furrowing the brow a bit more might add to the "weariness" of the expression, without detracting from the military precision of the "eyes front" pose.
