I have a 1.7ghz processor, with 512 mb DDR Ram, Pentium IV and Windows XP Pro. Poser can handle pretty huge files on my system. The V3 .obj is over 8 mb and I have some texture files over 22mb. I could open the 78k poly model in Vue without any problem....in fact I rendered an image with it and the sprouts in Vue and it looks very good! Since this isn't the Vue forum, I didn't post it :) The problem loading the 78k poly in Poser could be a Poser issue and most likely a Poser issue with .3ds divided models. My experience is that Poser seems to like .obj files better than .3ds :) The only problems I've ever had with Poser have involved .3ds files. I'm not sure if there is any difference in the quality between the two. Based on what I've seen, if your price is $15, I would probably buy these to use in Vue.....and Poser where possible. Can you address the "this .3ds format is obsolte" message that I got in Vue? Are you using an older version or do I simply need to install that update? :) Also....textures....are there any???
