I'm logged in as the computer administrator. I even created bogus accounts for me to "administer". I think it was just that particular software, I'll probably never know why. As for the password thing, I do get the "save password" prompt, even on secure sites, it just doesn't retain them. I'll take bikermouse's advice and check out winxpnews.
