I for one ashamed of the face this post has shown. When I was in third grade my foster parents told me I would never be the artist my foster sister was. I idolized her talent and stopped drawing and lost any interest in art Any art I did was because it was required. Till years later when teacher took me aside and showed me I could enjoy art. But by that time the damage had been done. Not really I got over it and got better but I wonder how much better I would have been had I been encouraged the other way. Please don't ever tell anyone to stop creating art.
