can it be fixed? sorry..been a hardware tech and support person for 17 years, so that's my first thought. If the CPU died, you're probably looking at a new motherboard and new CPU (they cycle through their lives faster than teen pop stars..;) You can have one built most times cheaper than can be bought, and decide what you want in it..which can be handy..hope you're up and running soon..as long as your hard drive's ok..I'm the 'pyromaniac' school of backups, download lots, and 'burn' everything..to CDR..;)
