This puzzled me about the cat, too. I'd received an answer from them that no cat was in the works, posted as much in reply to a concurrent question in the forums, and then all of a sudden Anton showed up posting images of the cat WIP. I had thought that perhaps the cat was being developed independently and that DAZ wasn't certain about whether or not to carry it. But this is obviously not the case. :(
