I run a very clean XP machine. I know what I'm doing. I had Poser 4, Poser 4/Propack, and Poser 5 all at once so it was easy to compare them. And Poser 5 is much much slower than the others at screen refreshing, changing 'rooms' and coming back from renders. (BTW, ProPack is slower at these things than Poser 4, but not as much slower as Poser 5 compared to Propack.) Besides which the Poser 4 renderer in Poser 5 is slower as well. I like the Poser 4 renderer for certain things. When I raytrace, I usually go to Bryce. Re-arranging things is simply not good enough. This goes for Poser 4 as well as Poser 5. Now that we have faster machines and larger monitors, squeezing our test renders into the interface is getting tiresome. I have several interface dots saved for various workflows, but it should be much better. Oh yes, I love the subfolders and separate runtimes. No question about that, which is one of the few things Poser 5 did right.
