Well I've been using Poser4 for several years, but I find Poser 5 a PIG to use, and the manual is very poor :( I own Bryce 4,5, Poser4&5, Rhino 1&2, UVMapperPro, PaintshopPro7, Flash4, Mojoworld, tons of plugins for PSP/PS; etc etc. But I'd bet that a good percentage of poser users started with an illegal copy to try it out, liked it and bought it. Most software companies know that, examples are MAX3D--thats ludicrously priced out of the hands of potential users, there is a huge amount of illegal copies out there that get folk INTO MAX, without that, MAX would lack many users. It's a problem most software companies know about, when products cost so much you CANOT get people into your products use without illegal copies. Ever wonder why some companies have full working web download versions depsite them being crackable?...So they get USERS. The average Joe doesnt have thousands of dollars to spend on apps, the bloated over pricing of some apps, from Photoshop to MAX, has kicked them in the ass in regards to user base. Stupid gits, if they sold to private users at reasonable prices their market share would increase...old debate but applicable.
