Are you planning on buying a new mobo and fast cpu? or just a cheap, but acceptable cpu that will fit on your old mobo? In the last case there's very reasonable prices on old AthlonXP's. 1800+ is about $60. I'm using an 1800+ CPU and the renderspeed is very acceptable.
