Wouldn't it be cool if you could write your own mathematical functions to blend different effects such as haze with the scene? Right now haze get's more visible as you go further away from the camera in a lineair fashion, but what if you could make it squared? You could even use functions with more then one dimension. 3 dimensional fog algorithms could be used to create volume mist effects just like you would do with objects with volumetric textures now, but then at the scale of a whole scene instead of one object. If you could make a 4 dimensional function you could even use it to make volume clouds that actually make this billowing transformation over time as we can see in the real world. That would be like taking the basic principle of bryce's inner workings to the next level and beyond. Just imagine the possibilities!
