I guess I did kind of like Haloedrain. Only I completely revised it hoping to have stated the same thing as you have laid out before us Drac...primarily cause for me it is just easier that way. Take it for what it is worth. Dear Sirs: We represent a huge group of 3D artists who are extremely interested in seeing Vector Capital re-implement the continuing development of Bryce 5, a program labeled under Corel Corporation which Vector Capital just bought. We are a huge group of artists, some accomplished and some just entering the world of 3D that uses Bryce quite avidly. Bryce users range from the hobbyist to the professional artist. All those who use Bryce have come to find Bryce as a mid-level and affordable rendering tool used not only for landscaping; but also in a variety of other ways. The Bryce user has found that Bryce is not only good for landscaping but in fact will contend with higher end 3D programs such as 3D Studio Max, Cararra, etc. Bryce has a huge following of users. More users than it is generally given credit to have. There are scores of individuals who do truly find genuine satisfaction in the ease of use and results that are obtained with Bryce in its countless applications and abilities All of our attempts to encourage Corel Corporation to continue its further development of Bryce, which is by no means an obsolete program, have been to no avail due to Corel Corporations shaky financial status. We have encouraged them to continue development of Bryce or to sell it to any of various other parties which display a manifested interest in obtaining Bryce to further the development of the program, if it were an endeavor which they did not want to pursue. Our attempts to encourage the furthering of Bryce were fruitless. We are full of hope Vector Capital will take this in hand and seriously consider re-establishing the development of a very sought after program. Even in the wake of Corels buy out, people are still buying Bryce 5. This is not just to be considered due to the vast number of people that use Bryce worldwide; but also because there is a very lucrative side to this programs that Vector Capital should realize as well. It is revenue that is currently not being generated. Respectfully we ask for a response from Vector Capital to our plea for the continued development of Bryce. We also respectfully ask that if Vector Capital chooses to not continue the development of Bryce that they would take into serious consideration the parties that have a very big interest in obtaining the program so that they can further develop Bryce. In any case, we do not want to see Bryce just simply die and fade away as an impossible venture. There has been very much good development to this program since its conception. Bryce has a huge, huge number of users that genuinely want to see this program maintain its integrity as a viable 3D application. We sincerely ask that Vector Capital will give serious consideration to this petition and that they will likewise return a solid response as to the direction Vector Capital chooses to take the Bryce program. Sincerely, All Bryce users worldwide
