It is my understanding that the Vector group is out of town this week, meeting with the folks from Corel. Vector has a hugh responsibility concerning Corel and their employees. Corel got themselves into this mess and hopefully Vector will be able to save the maximum number of jobs and products. To us this is about Bryce, to Vector it is about investment, they will not 'plunder' Corel as the core of the Corel business is packaged as a group of tools, together they will thrive, spun off they will die. It goes with out saying, that it is painfully obvious that Bryce is not a part of this core group of tools. I am nobody, a nothing in life, but I did call Vector and Vector did tell me that they would continue to market and develope the current products. I applaud Vector for this, especially in light of the fact that in the last 11 years I have been sold twice and I know what it is like to have your job on the chopping block. I hope that as many of our Canadian friends can keep their job as is possible. On the question of Bryce, I was told that they really could not comment on Bryce at this time. I understand their reluctance to comment, this is often the case if a product is being discontinued or is being offered for sale. Mum is the word. I certainly hope that Ken Musgrave can manage an agreement with Vector concerning Bryce and I hope that Vector takes the high road concerning Bryce and the users of Bryce, and offers Bryce to Mr. Musgrave at a price that will enable Mr. Musgrave to buy Bryce. In the long run, Vector is not the bad guy here, they will ultimately save the Corel products, in spite of the Corel managements inability to manage. As far as the petition, you can certainly consider me as a signer of the petition. BabaLouie
