It's a very cool idea, and is lookin pretty good, I'd just say the textures could be worked with, and of course, a FIREMAN's POLE because you have multiple levels.. Oh and it seems like you used a whole separate tree for that bottom branch, and it looks a little off, I'm not sure what I can say to tweak it, maybe make it less straight, it's look better with some curve, problem is, I don't know if you can do that in treelab, correct me if I' wrong. Good pic though! Cory BS
cory: I used a total of 3 trees added to SAMS3D tree house. I agree the textures need work, and the bottom Branch(tree) needs adjustment. Claymor: Thanks, I remember the tree you did in the challenge. Very nice. I will have to give it a shot ..see what happens. Sharen: You always contribute such cool stuff. I saw this and just had to do something with it. It brings back many childhood memories. Thanks for the inspiration and freestuff!
Cool idea Collete1. I never had a tree house when I was a kid.... but they always seemed to look like such fun. Not sure what to add to what else was said except that there seems to be a lot of haze or maybe the ambience is set a bit high. Maybe that is how you want it though... Don't know that for sure. You may have something in mind that will be able to utilize the haze. Nice work so far. Will be interesting to see what you do with it. 8) Wade
There are 10 kinds of people: Those who know binary, and those who don't.
A whiner is about as useful as a one-legged man at an arse kicking contest.
I like the overall image. The tree house seems so much fun to be around in. As for the tree itself, I think it looks good also. If you're going to do something with the lower branch, why not just bring it up to the next level in the tree house? You might also want to fool around with different leaf types. Did you know that in the tree-lab, under foliage shape, you have the option of a user leaf, way at the very end of the list? You can import your own leafs (even real leaf photos and use their alphas) and place them onto your tree and still have the option of using your own leaf coloring and number of leaves per branch. There seems to be a little too much shadow and it hides a great deal of the tree house and its textures. Maybe you can try lowering the sun (light source) just a bit and easing up on the shadow percentage say to between 50-70%. While you're there, try fiddling with the shadow color and see if that does anything for you. Good looking WIP!
