Bryce 2 was the first version I had. As far as I remember it is nothing like Bryce 5 apart from the interface but it was a good introduction to 3D. So if you're getting it for free give it a try and if you like it save your pennies and buy v5, it's too good a price at the moment to pass on. 8) Catlin
