heyas; i believe the foot/lower leg anatomy is pretty much the same from p3 to p4 figures. not 100% sure, though. you don't need to make conformable clothing, you can still make posable clothing. in fact, that's what we used to do in the old days. (in fact, lots of posable clothing works better than lots of conformable clothing ;) ) try this: build the boots on the p3 fem obj, make sure they are 'on' it. save the boots with the same body part names (um, lShin, rShin, lFoot, rFoot... well, look them up to be sure). then save the boots out to a new obj. now, and this is the tricky part... open the p3 fem cr2 and delete everything but the shins/feet/toes. (and the BODY sections). you'll have to also change some references as to the hip no longer being the default pick or the root child of the body, etc; and make sure the welding lines are right. replace the obj reference with one that points to your boots obj. if we did everything right, it should create a character that's only two boots. it should take on any pose that you can put the figure in. theoretically, it should also be conformable, since you used the same jp's for it as the original figure. i'm not sure about this last, you might need 'ghost' body parts to make a conforming figure. i'm also not fully sure if making a two-branch figure like this would work without a joining hip. (i've only done it with long necks and tails, not legs.) well, at the very least, there's no reason you cant have the three polygon groups in your prop obj file (er, as far as i know). so if you wanted to just do the quickie prop deal, that would work as well. how's that sound?
