When you can apply an image as a reflection to an object it looks like this, stereotypically called "Reflection Mapping". Anyone remember that older Disney movie "The Navigator"? With the teardrop shaped, mirror surfaced spaceship? Reflection mapping is how they gave it, its look. It was an early, popular example of refection mapping with computers.
