Personally I don't like poser. It makes me feel like I'm using presets. When I use a poser figure I try to give it as much of my own touch as I can by using my own poses, textures, lighting and postwork. Basically anything to make it look less like it came from poser. When I've got the time I like to model my characters from scratch.
