hmm..I've never been in the top 20, but I've never looked, either..I just make the pictures I like, and ask questions when they don't turn out the way I want..;) I don't have much problem making comments, if it's something simple, or an easy fix. Some folks get upset by different things..I had someone IM me about a comment because they felt it was historically innacurate..(?). Go figure..;) folks develop their 'amen corners' over time, even I have one (well, they don't actually fill a corner..but..;). If it's a good pic, I'll comment..if not, I usually pass it by. Of course, I've been known to have some fun with misspellings, particularly if they're ironic..;) make the art you want to make, and joke 'em if they can't...;)
