I dont come here for politics, either of the world variety or just concening Bryce. I come here because I thought we enjoyed making pictures with a certain piece of software. But just lately it seems some are only happy when bitching about the fact their image didn
t make it into a certain gallery voted on by the membership, while others did. They rationalise this by saying that of course those artists have multiple accounts or lots of friends who vote for them. Live with it. I was a semi professional photographer specilalising in insect shots. I posted some recently in the photography gallery. They got few viewings but I was happy that they were good enough to have been previously published. Another photographer also posted insect pictures and because he used no flash, they were blurred and would have been rejected outright by my agent. They invariably made the Hot 20 or whatever they call it, with comments like "pin sharp" or "wonderful macro". So what? Why go on the forum and tell the guy his pics are amatuerish? Others seem to have strange ideas, (to me) about what makes a good image. Teri, I have never made a model in my life, rarely use anything but other peoples mats and will use postwork to achieve what I set out to do. You have voted me one point in the challenge this month. Perhaps you would like to revote, given the above information. I have long been puzzled why so many artists post in their gallery but never in the forum. Well, I think I can see why now, and I think I am going to join their ranks.
