You finish a render, post it into your gallery and then WHAM!

"Aaaargh! I should have changed this! I should have kept that!"

As to "if art isn't fun, why do it", I can only say that there are some things that shout and cry for you to create them.

I talked to a lot of writers and would-be writers, and quite a number of them says that there are inner voices clamouring to be heard, that their characters speak to them.

I think something similar is going on with us, too. And if we misunderstand the voices*, or we have to torment ourselves spending hours and days on a particular picture, we'll still do it, no?
