Effective immediately, PoserPros is proud to announce that merchant cuts for non-exclusive products are being increased from 55% to 60%, and merchant cuts for exclusive products are being increased from 70% to 75%. All products, presently in our store, and future submissions, will be affected by this pay increase.

As many of you may recall, when we first made plans to open our Boutique at PoserPros, we publicly indicated a strong desire to gradually increase merchant cuts over time, as our business grew and increased and we found ourselves able to afford to do so. It is with great pleasure and pride in our merchants, staff, and members, that Russell and I are pleased to announce that sales growth on PoserPros has increased so strongly that we are able to increase merchant pay rates for all items in our store.

You may be asking yourself if this announcement is timed in response to the recent 10% pay cut on Renderosity for Exclusive merchants. In part, yes it is a direct response to that event. We were planning to wait till the end of the month to announce this pay rate increase, but due to our personal sensitivity to the financial crises the pay cut at Renderosity may be bringing upon so many in the Poser Community in these hard financial times, we have decided to move forward with this decision and implement it immediately.

Our Boutique is a state of the art store, with all of the features you have come to expect. It is under constant feature expansion, and we are not intimidated by innovation. Some of the features of our Boutique Code that are of particular interest to Merchants are:

• FAST Servers and Modern Code, with little to no Lag!
• FAST Download times of purchased products!
• Modern, innovative, visual report tools, allowing for in-depth analysis of merchant sales statistics and monies owed to merchant.
• EASY to use Merchant Advertising room for setting up sales.
• EASY to use and completely innovative PoserPros Banner Library (Patent Pending) code, where you the merchant control your own rotating library of ads. Exclusive Merchants receive additional banner ads rotating at a higher rate!
• EASY to use Coupon Code for Storewide discounts, and very soon to be available Easy to Use Coupon Code for individual merchant use.
• EASY to use store upload process, based on a step by step method that simplifies the upload process for merchants, and organizes the material needed.
• UNLIMITED Popup images per product, so that you may adequately display all the features of your product.
• UNLIMITED number of zip files may be attached to each product, allowing you to slit your product submissions into reasonable sized downloads making download easier on customers with a slow dial-up modem.
• Innovative "no membership fee required" ProClub area of our boutique, where high quality products are sold at a flat rate of $2.49 everyday, draws regular customers into the store, and increases sales volume for all.
• Regular Buy 1 Get 1 Free customer appreciation incentive sales that significantly boost sales for our merchants.
• The FIRST visual HTML driven newsletter, which features all products added to our store during the week of the newsletter release, as well as Best Sellers and Products On Sale.
• Refunds issued for any incidents of copyright violations. (To date only one incident, and all customers received an immediate refund).
• All products under Warrenty, with refunds available to the customer if necessary!
• 33 Point Quality Checklist Testing, with fully documented testing from start to finish, produces consistent high quality testing from all testers to expected standards!
• Help and Training available to new merchants in developing and setting up their products to the high standards expected at PoserPros.
• Exclusive Tab area of our store to showcase Exclusive Products.
• Sale Tab area of our store to showcase products on Sale.
• No rules restricting advertising postings to specific forums.
• Due to our Boutique Page layout structure, all products stay on the main What's New area longer, and so are maximized in their exposure.
• Front page rotating thumbnails of all products in the store, with a greater emphasis on Exclusive and Sale products!
• Very low charge backs and credit card fraud rate (to date of this posting only 1 charge back/fraud incident in all our business history) means lower operating expenses and higher pay for you the merchant!
• Increased Store Security to reduce credit card fraud is in place.
• No hampering and costly distribution partnerships such as Content Paradise, which increase the cost of doing business, and thus could cause a cash flow problem and result in us having to reduce merchant pay rates as a consequence.

Considering that Renderosity just did a 10% pay cut to their Exclusive merchants... I don't understand that, you'd think you'd be extra nice to the Exclusive ones... :)

Caly ~ The merchants whom are already exclusive.. the cut doesn't effect them from what I know.

Just another example of "Fat Cats" trying to line their pockets even more off the sweat of others' hard work.

If you look at, they all are in a sense.. :)

It's sad to hear. The only purchases I make here anymore are exclusives.....You get better prices elsewhere. Now I guess I won't need to do that anymore either. Good for me....bad for R'osity. Unless, of course, everyone decides to raise their prices to counter the cut.....that would be bad for everyone.

Congratulations! As a consumer I have watched your growth and was pleased to see that the standards of quality at Poser Pro's did not change. I hope this continues as you increase your Boutique even further.

Sorry Mehndi, my original intent for even participating in this thread was to offer my congratulations to you and the PoserPros team. Unfortunately, condolences seem to be neccessary for the Renderosity merchants.

Hi Tamela, Jurgen, Netherworks, Vulcanis, LilWolf and everyone else! :) Thank you for your kind words! I am just pleased we are at last able to make that first tiny step toward raising our pay rates as has always been our dream. It is only one small baby step, but I hope it will be the first of many :) I am feeling pretty good these days Tamela :) I have an appt with my cardiologist in the morning, but I think it will go well :) At long last I am off all those horrible nasty drugs that were turning me into a really horrid person to be around for a while, thank goodness :) I am alive, and grateful to God for a second chance :)

Oh, no, not another thread saying that business is great, but that the site will be reducing the merchant's cut by 10%. Oh, wait, Poser Pros is giving more money to the merchant? Wow! That's great! What a switch from this site, which is reducing the merchant cut on exclusive items from 60% to 50%. Or was that supposed to be "confidential merchant information" that the rest of the people on the site shouldn't know about? Whoops. Anyway, thanks, Mehndi. --John
