Yes, this is very, very sad. She was destined to be our next Prime Minister. A brilliant, incredibly competent politician. In my view the best politician to come out of this country in decades. Much respected by all - not least by her political opponents. I remember the very first time I saw her in action in the mid-80's. And I said to myself instantly, - she'll be Prime Minister one day. She was leader of a political youth organisation at the time. And that is in spite of the fact that she was not in the same part of the political spectrum as me at all.... nevertheless I had the greatest respect for her, which I have for few politicians generally. Most of all she will be missed by her children and her husband. She was 46. A note to non-Scandinavians: Politicians in this part of the world almost never have bodyguards - you can see them on the train, on the street, in shops... just like you will see top stars in film and music, TV, etc. The ONLY exception is the Prime Minister himself. Sweden (and the rest of Scandinavia) is very human, very gentle... for the most part. Anna was out shopping for clothes by herself in central Stockholm, just a short while after holding a major political rally about the Euro referendum to be held on Sunday. And now she is gone. Stab wounds to several parts of the body, worst of all her liver was very badly damaged. Nearly 12 hours of micro and macrosurgery couldn't save her from massive internal hemorraging (bleeding). :[ Fish
