Poser - OFFICIAL F.A.Q (Last Updated: 2024 Nov 29 7:57 am)
Promote myself here, I have around fifty male face morphs organized by feature at my site http://pages.hotbot.com/arts/momodot but the only one with morph for the under chin and neck as shown in your image is JAFO here at Renderosity, he has not posted it though so you would have to request it from him by e-mail.
Naghh you are going about it all wrong. Lateral thinking... think outside the box. Why not get plastic surgery to make YOU look like P4 Man. From personal experience this has to be wayyyyyyyyyyyyy easier :) Regards PhilC <----- (Whose profile can not be mimicked in Poser because there are only just so many magnets that can be loaded simultaneously :)
I feel a bit awkward to disagree with most of you..but that's not a face too hard to create with just a handful of morphs! Actually MOST of my characters are 80% based on default morphs..I just add on MTs to make more detailed adjustments wherever needed...loading your figure with morphs and starting with an endless list of dials is not the ideal way for me..you loose track and you are never able to find the correct dial and fix what you screwed up with in your last repositioning...but then again, I guess everybody has its own comfortable way to approach a project! :o)

i agree with JGINFO, if the general shape of the head isn't near the shape of the person there's no way in hell its going to resemble the actual person... i have seen so many "looks like " posts that don't look like anybody ... just another poser figure with a new texmap ... and while we are on the texmap subject... i don't think its possible to create an accurate facemap using the present method ... the "big face" models and Victoria are a step in the right direction but they still use planar projection which is pretty inadequate for rendering super-detailed models cylindrical mapping would give far superior results check above ill do a quick example don't expect too much IM not very good with texmaps especially complicated ones like cylindrical maps but i think i can make my point, i would insert it here but i don't have the means
Y'all have a great day.
Ahh! I new the map looked different, cylyndrical. JAFO could you give me a little more on the conceptual level in regards to cylindrical vs. planear vs. spherical vs. intrinsic map as applies to Poser figures? I had wondered if the "orthognal" figures would take portrait maps better than the UVmaps? It seems that in a strange way the Poser 2 figures took photographic texture maps better than P3 and P4 figures do.
