Subject: M3... Hmmm....

I don't know - I haven't bought M3 and I don't know that I will. His face is extremely androgenous; as is his default body and in quite a few renders I see funky, sharp polygons, if you will, where the chest and upper arms meet. The body popups for these products at Daz show this very well - not to detract from the broker's products at all which are fine in their execution - it's the Mesh that's the problem.

World of M3

Vince for M3

Are you purchasers happy with him - I realize it's soon to ask that maybe... I've just seen more images where M3 has the kind of wishy-washy, wind-could-knock-him-over build that guys in the 70's at ashrams used to have. : ) In any event, his shoulder area seems to have all kinds of odd bulges and ways of posing... shrug, I don't know. I guess if one thinks of him as just another figure all together (which of course, he is) then that's the thing. He's too much like Vic3 to think of as a Mike update. He should be called Victor. : )

Hi I'm still wondering if to buy him as well. I think perhaps I should have a hires male to go with V3. I was always impressed with my efforts with Dork or lo res Mike in which i managed to get him to look like a very bad shop dummy every time! What I was wondering and some good pics might convince me is what he looks like with clothes and I don't mean those horrible cycle shorts which both he and Vicki3 have in common (uni mesh? with unisex shorts good eh!) I'll leave the naked stud pics to other people as I'll leave the Nvitws to others. Dave

Hi Well I couldent decide either, but I worked out with my platnum club membership and a $5.00 voucher i had it would cost me $31.66 (or 19.85 in my money) to get the base upgrade and the morph packs. This is a couple of nights in the pub money wise and i figured I'd get more milage out of mike 3. I didnt bother with the textures for now as I hear the vic 3 male textures will work so ill give them a try as I've got a few. Only played with it a bit but it seems good so far.

I like him pretty well. There are enough differences between M3 and the V3 male that I didn't feel like I was "buying the same mesh twice." And, absolutely no knock on Dan Farr -- who is a fine-looking man -- but it's nice to have a MilGuy who doesn't look like Dan Farr, just for the change.

3ddave..you'll have to decide for yourself, if i was to answer you, you'd get 50 others telling you how wonderful mike3 is. I'm trying to have a positive outlook on him because he was a birthday gift, but so far i will say i'm not impressed. Every word you said about bulges is true also

artbyphil, Check which M3 you put in your cart because with my Platinum Club and no voucher he came to $15 and some change (don't know in pounds but I do know that $15 US is half of $30 US...). If you have Mike2, then the upgrade one is the one you'd want - but I believe they list it in the $21-ish range as a start. Have a look. Dave (yet another one) : )

Hi 3ddave44 Ill have to check this . do you mean theres a different upgrade for Mike 1 or 2? I only noticed one upgrade that seemed to cover both. as I've got bothe of these installed I wouldent have noticed when installing it says I paid $22.46 for the base upgrade and $14.96for each morph pack

People are going to say he looks like a female because he is to V3 as Steph was to the old Mike. But, I never thought Steph looked like a man. Rather, I thought she looked like she could be the old Mike's sister. I feel the same way about M3 -- looks like V3's brother, but doesn't look like a woman.

Yeah, I think the old Mike's stock face (the Farr, as it seems to be known) is a bit more rugged. But, nobody said I had to stop using M2. I intend to use them both. They won't look like the same guy, much in the same way V2 and Steph don't look like the same girl. I like the variety.

Hey 3ddave44 I figured i would respond a bit :) I do see the distortions you talk of and it is apart of the mesh but it is a problem with the way it is posed. Ask most merchants and they will tell you that the crappiest part about doing a product(aside from the rsr's) is doing the store renders. So you tend to choose the quickest pose. I have noticed with v3 and m3 as well as v2 that when you do most of the upper arm posing using the collar you get distortions and stuff . Using the shoulders cuts down on this alot.

Bought it yesterday with face and body morph packs. At still moment still... disappointed. V3 male is much better. But maybe it takes time... I don't know
