Props can not be made posable, per se, the same way that figures can because they don't have 'body parts' and joints.

Props can, however, be made 'posable' by using deformers and then spawing an MT for that prop.

Props can be parented to other props and, also, saved as 'smart' props.

I have a tutorial (in progress) that shows how to do this.
