My smallest suggestion would be to put your want in the subject area so people can see immediately if they can help or not. Have you done a search on your favorite search engine? It looks to me that a search for tutorials turns up a number of potential sites you may find handy. Sorry I can't be any help. I haven't tried The Gimp yet. I'm sure there are others who could. Hope you find what you're looking for soon. :)
