Yes, I'm on dial-up as well. I use SpyBoy and AdAware both. DCOM is a Windows service so it's not going to sho up on a SpyBot scan. It's necessary for some software to run. If your system runs fine with it blocked or disabled, that's what I'd do. I just read an article that says some Creative SoundBlaster and other hardawre setups has installed adware so you can't really trust anyone these days. Fortunately, CL hasn't sunk that low - yet...
