Ang, Windows will tell you a lot of things, not all of them necessarily true. :-) The thing is, Microsoft receommended for virtual memory 1.5 times amount of RAM in Windows 98. (What a sorry excuse for a sentence.) If there are problems, you can always start computer in Safe mode and then change the things back. Just press F8 while it's booting and you'll get a boot menu. And yes, building your own computer is not exactly the hardest thing on the Earth. You just have to be careful to read a bit on it. BTW, send him a box a couple of days afterwards. :-)
