You might want to look at your C:WindowsTEMP file. I have found that some graphics programs stash 'temp' files in there, and then don't clean them up when they are done. At one point, I had 16,000 files in there! It would not accept any more, and slowed everything down, nearly to a halt. After checking with lots of people, I deleted everything from the folder. Amazingly, everything got much better immediately!! I run Windows ME. Hope that helps a bit. Tres
