I have purchased Body Studio for Max, and without a doubt it's the #1 way to bring poser files into Max. Works like a dream for that, but if you do decide to purchase it, make sure your system can handle the extra CPU required to run it. Anyway, to answer your question... the program only works one way... it flawlessly imports a Poser scene into a Max environment, where you could then apply textures, materials, and use all the power of 3ds effects and tools. However, it will not work to export a Max scene into poser. The plugin resides in the 3ds environment, and not the Poser environment. You create a scene in poser... including textures, etc. and save as a PZ3 (native poser file format). Then open 3ds and access the Body Studio plugin, and import the scene into any Max environment. It maintains all the textures, props, morphs, and animation of the PZ3 file, while still making it editable in the Max environment. PS: No, it doesn't allow you to re-pose the figures, or articulate their current poses from what they were saved as in the PZ3 file, but it does allow you to add 3ds materials, objects, effects, and makes it available to render in 3ds. If you're not familiar with 3DS already, it's an incredible high-end 3d program, and has some of the most vast collection of plugins available for it. You can make a scene look incredibly realistic, or use one of it's many available plugins to render a scene in ways that would just be incredibly painstaking or not even possible at all with Poser or even Bryce. Anyway, hope that clears up some of the mystery. Good luck in your decision!
