I always imagined unicorns as something of a cross between horses and deer. When I was a kid, there was a friend of ours who raised white deer. I was about 10 at the time, I guess, and to me, they were mystical creatures that, I guess, I connected in my mind with unicorns. But I've always thought of unicorns as petite, finely formed, fragile, gentle creatures.
