Sorry, but I got you beat by two years. It was when I was 53 that I decided if I ever wanted to do anything with this lifelong desire to write that I had better get busy. So, I wrote my little non fiction book, used a "book doctor" and then went the POD (print on demand) route. Since I have sold a little under one hundred copies (mostly people buying from amazon.com etc) I decided I would try the go thru an agent, etc. for my mystery novel. My "book doctor" is going to help me with the agent part when I finish all the rewrites, but Stephen King once wrote that he loved the rewrites, but I find them hard to do and I am dragging my foot on it.
