Second, spyware (called by various names) is the newest rage in alledge demographics gathering and its misuse is cause for concern. Third, as Jafo and several others stated, this kind of thing should not be installed by a software manufacturer or website without your knowledge and consent. Fourth, always read the fine print closely before installing new software. Fifth, (and I'll shut up) NOTHING and I mean NOTHING connected by telephone lines, wireless media, or just sitting there all by its self eminating radiation from the monitor and keyboard (even if it is TEMPEST rated) is totally secure. The best you can hope to do is make it as secure as you can to protect yourself as best you can - and not get overly paranoid.
