I am not sure if this is a solution but when things like that happened to me, I would fully uninstall the program, clean the registry, remove all files from the Windows/temp and "My Document" and last but not least, do a defrag before my naxt reinstallation (good habit to shut off all TSR eg, screensaver, Antivirus utility etc...)
