Why? Because the figure with all the included morphs would have been prohibitively large for many if not most people to download in a reasonable amount of time. I love my DSL but I'm well aware that many people can't get it in their area, or can't afford the cost. Why? Because the morph INJ and REM technology is a really cool thing that allows you to use only what you need, thus decreasing file size and potentially increasing render time. There are those who are working on older or less powerful systems who would probably experience freeze-ups if they tried to render V3 or M3 with all the morphs. The REM function permits them to use only the morphs they want to, making crashes less likely. Why? Because the figure with all morphs would have been more expensive, disallowing some people from purchasing it. As released, people can buy the components for V3 and M3 as they can afford them. That's what I did ... base mesh one week, head morphs the next, body morphs the next week. Much easier on my budget that way. Even if you buy the base figure and all the morphs at once, you're getting a great deal, considering the high quality and the fact that there's no such thing available anywhere else at such reasonable prices. I didn't have Poser when Victoria 2 was released, but I've read many times that V3 and M3 with all the morphs were ultimately less expensive than V2 in initial release. I don't know why there's still cynicism about the unimesh's morph tech. It's a good thing, not a money-grubbing scheme. :-)
