I purchased vue 4, an update from vue 2. I updated with vue 4.11 and I also got the vue 4.2 beta update patch. Everything is alright EXCEPT when I try to update it with 4.2 patch it says its only for versions 4.12 and over. Now my question is where can i get 4.12 version patch. As I can see even e-on has only 4.11 update patch on their site. I have poser 5 and 4 with pro pack. When I try to import my .pz3 file it asks me to locate poser.exe (poser 4) file and when I do it says the serial number for poser is invalid. I asked around on other forums regarding this problem and someone told me that if I bought it from metacreations I am in trouble. When curious labs purchased poser they blacklisted most of the serial numbers from metacreations. That didn't bother me much as I knew 4.2 patch will allow me to import poser 5 stuff. Now since the patch refuses to work I need your help here. And also if anyone can help me solve the poser 4 invalid serial number problem I would appriciate very much. Guys please help me out with these two problems. I will be very much thankful. Thanking in anticipation.

I can't remember what the problem was - i am on a Mac and don't have that problem (but others) - but i am sure that you can find something in our backroom. Look up and click onto the word. Or do a search in the messages. Hope you find the solution. Walther

I think you can get the 4.12 patch at the e-on site. I have downloaded the Mac version this morning (again). Serial problem i have no idea. Never had it. But do a search in the messages here. I am sure that there is a solution and was discussed before! Walther

I registered on e-on's web site but when I tried downloading the patch this is what I got. Form Processing Error! An error occurred while we were processing your form. Usually this means that one of the values you submitted in your form was invalid, or you did not put a value in a required field. Please check the error message(s) below, and then press Back to return to the previous page and review your submission. The actual error given was: Invalid Vue 4 Serial! Thanks, e-on software internet team. Could it be that I should have entered vue 2 instead of vue 4 since vue 2 full version was bought and vue 4 was an upgrade from 2. Thankyou.

Why not trying it simply? They will not come to you and destroy your computer when it does not work. So be brave and test the other serial number!

Vue 4 is a stand alone program. Install it alone (not over Vue 2) and then put your objects and whatever you have collected in the new folder and update to 4.12. Guitta

I did, I don;t have vue 2 anymore. I only have vue 4, updated with patch 4.11. e-on's website won't let me download 4.12 patch and without it I cannot apply 4.2 patch. Can anyone provide me with 4.12 patch or help me in anyway. I would be EXTREMELY thankful, please I am in desperate need of help. Thankyou.

You had no right to sell or to give away your Vue 2 copy as you have paid only the update price. That's illegal.

umm...I didn't GIVE it away, it broke. The cd craked and broke. I thought here people would be different, but guess not. They just need a sign and they jump to conclusions of piracy/illegal stuff. Anyone? Thankyou.

I had the same problem when I tried to use the new patch and do the update. It says its only for versions 4.12 and over. I have legal copies of Poser 4 and Vue4 which I purchased 1 month ago from Renderosity. I do have th 4.12 patch which I did install after I got that same message and I still got the same error. I uninstalled Vue4, dumped the remains of the folder and reinstalled Vue. Prior to putting the new update in I had Vue reading and importing P5 files. Now it will not let me install the previous 4.2 update that did work and it will not not import P5 files telling me my serial number is invalid. From my experience the new beta 4.2 patch that was just released actually caused me more problems taking a working Vue4 and P6 setup and making it unusable.

Hi jot, There is a bug with Poser5 and and the patches. I have spent days with e-on and these patches. You need to find your serial number and register with e-on to get in. I have found that once you try to import a Poser file if it has given you the error message it will not import the Poser file even if you install the patch. If you have Vue installed when it launches it will have your serial number showing on the front. Write very fast and if you have to open and close it a Vue couple of times until you get all the numbers right it will be correct. Then register with e-on and get the patches. After you get the patches, if you have trouble getting it to read Poser files here is the post on how to correct it. I wish you the very best of luck with this. Take your time and get your serial number correct when it launches.
