You need to remember that "Wizard of Oz" was one of the FIRST real Full Color movies ever. It had a tremendous impact on many peoples ideas and thinking about FANTASY. I remember as a kid that the flying monkies really scared the #$%@! out of me! Hard to get out of your mind HUNDREDS of EVIL FLYING MONKIES when you are 5-6 years old!
