Bryce's terrains and lattices are quite powerful...within Bryce. Because of how the program handles them you can get some remarkable detail within a fairly small file. They are not, however, optimal for export. I actually made a smart-propped set of angel wings in Bryce once -- Bryce to Carrara to UVmapper to Poser -- it worked fine for the pic I was doing (a garden angel) but the file was a little large.
