Methane-filled balloons? I have created an illustration with everything, too. some years back, Kelly Freas called and said that he needed an illo in a week for a book of work by new writers. He then overnighted a 12,000 word ms. "The Ghost in the Matrix" featured a Victorian spaceship run through DaVincian mechanics and a Flux Drive inhabited by a ghost of a sailor. Eight characters go down to the boiler room to exorcize the ghost. I not only made each character readily identifiable, but put rivets on everything AND a kitchen sink behind some pipes. Kelly spotted the sink. It was published that way. ;^) Carolly
