According to DAZ, their credit card processing company was charging a very high fee to allow them to put big annual club purchases on the card, because if DAZ were to discontinue the club or go out of business (neither of which is likely, but the CC company doesn't know that), there would be a rash of chargebacks that would be very, very costly. In order to keep their own costs lower, DAZ had to do away with letting people put an annual renewal on their Visa card. That's what Steve said about the change a few months ago, anyway. bonni
