I don't see the white line but I guess that's because I don't view on a black ground. Here's a suggestion from another tutorial about getting rid of a border around the edge. Hope it helps. One suggestion I'd make is to use your tool to smudge and make your burn area less even in width. It looks just a little too regular to me.
