Do other OpenGL apps (not games) run OK?

If so, then this is part of the perennial problem with Vue and OpenGL. I have a Radeon 9800 Pro. It seems to work with Pro when the driver is installed but not the control panel or any other ATi components.

Try

• uninstalling the ATi control panel,
• uninstalling any of the other ATi extras,
• uninstalling the main driver
• cold rebooting,
• installing the driver only, nothing else.

My system seems to work OK with this set up and Catalyst driver 6.14.10.6378 dated 12/08/03. I say "seems to" because I still get crashes with Vue under XP but the OS install is old and in need of wiping and reinstallation. Incidentally, other OPenGL apps work OK.....
