The trouble with ballet in this country is that it is subsidised by the Gov and the Lottery. Yet only rich people (generally speaking) go to see it. Us commoners can't stand it. This means that tickets prices are artificialy low and the rich get the benefit. You don't see subsidised cinema tickets..... And following on from others in this thread, so called 'art' in the form of bizarre creations still rears it's uglyness and yet one way or another WE pay for it.
