I had varying problems with my system that were driving me crazy. Very odd stuff. Then my system eventually failed to boot. I swapped components like and figured that it was the motherboard. After ordering a replacement motherboard and rebuilding everything. The new machine booted up fine and then started acting "flakey". The net result is the motherboard was fine - I had a bad processor on my dual processor system. This just showed me that instead of checking 90% of my components I should have checked them all. If you are reformatting and continue to have massive problems - - - I'd tend to blame a faulty piece of hardware before VUE or system software. In any event, I hope you solve your problem soon.
