hmm..I've already done the organizing thing, based on previous threads on this subject. When I had them all in one User directory, I think I got up to around 250 or so before it started freakin' out..;) I've noticed that each folder tends to be about the same size, regardless of what's in it (if you did it the way I did, and skipped some steps..;). But having individual folders (I have things like Organics, Building Materials, Metals) really speeds up the mat selection process (2nd only the Rendering, the way I work..;)
